Hours: Saturday 10am-2pm and Monday & Wednesday 9am-12pm CASH ONLY store

The Fryeburg Thrift Shop is operated by The First Congregational Church of Fryeburg, UCC and is part of their community involvement and outreach.

The Thrift Shop is located in the Vestry Building at 679 Main Street, next door to the church.
We sell gently used clothing and other household items at minimum prices and provide free clothing and linens to those facing emergencies. Our Fryeburg Thrift Shop has served the community for generations.

Inside the Thrift Shop you will find necessities like a warm coat, blankets and bedding, an outfit for work, gloves and a hat. You will also be pleasantly surprised each week as we add to the adult and children’s clothing selections. You never know what you may find!

Thrifting Tips:

  1. Come in often. Even though we are only open a few days a week, we are processing donations all the time. Come in at least once a week to know what’s new.

  2. Ask about Sales. The Volunteers know what is on sale even if you missed the signs. You may get a free pair of pants with your purchase or 50% off your pajamas.

  3. Get a Loyalty Card Start a loyalty card and remember to get it marked each time you spend $5. Once you collect $25 in stamps, you earn $5 in free clothing.

  4. Talk to the Volunteers. Ask them “What’s awesome in my size that I need to see today.” They sort and make sure the clothing is stain free, zips and buttons correctly, and is in good condition.

  5. Check the website. We do post special sales and events on our website as well as google and the conway daily sun calendar.

  6. Shop a size larger. Sometimes thrift clothing can run a full size smaller as it has been washed and worn. Don’t just check the size on the clothing. Look at it and see if it looks large or small. Try it on if you have time!
